I really don't think the games have anything in common besides being kinda tropey anime games tbh.

Gives you a lot of room for experimenting with different builds, which is awesome. It really shines in it's gameplay though if you like Soulslikes.

Level design is hit or miss and enemy design could use more variety. I thought the story was pretty bad tbh and the characters were whatever.
#Code vein nexus code#
With the two stories, it kinda outstays it's welcome though.Īs for Code Vein, the soundtrack is pretty great and the pacing is much better, despite still being long. There's entire segments where you'll be reading dialogue for upwards of half an hour or so without any gameplay. If you're ignoring the combat, I'd say I think the art direction of Scarlet Nexus is much more inspired and has a better story, although there's a bit too much dialogue and exposition and it's by no means amazing. The atmosphere is darker and somber there as a result.īoth games have pretty linear levels although Scarlet Nexus has you rethreading a lot of the levels for story reasons while Code Vein doesn't really do that. As somebody mentioned, Scarlet Nexus has more dialogue and cutscenes across the game.īoth games are post-apocalyptic, but Code Vein feels more like one with fewer characters and a more desolated ruined world. partner with you in Code Vein while Scarlet Nexus has two other party members with you.īoth stories has some weird anime sci-fi premise, but Scarlet Nexus feels more convoluted with a lot more terms thrown at you. Scarlet Nexus has two protagonists that are different in playstyle, but that's all you get with them.Ĭombat in Scarlet Nexus is very fast paced while Code Vein is more methodical and slow in comparison. You be a rifle mage, agile fighter or slow, but powerful warrior. Even then, that's different too.Ĭode Vein has a lot more customization due to the class skills and different equipment.

They aren't a lot of similarities other than anime aesthetics.
